Job Title: Design Program Manager

Meade Engineering, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Design Program Manager to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in overseeing and coordinating technical projects within the data center and general construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate multiple design projects, ensuring effective communication between clients, cross-functional consultants, vendors, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Lead recurring project meetings, including status meetings and stakeholder meetings, to ensure clear communication and documentation of discussions, decisions, and action items.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders, providing regular project updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans, and schedules, tracking project progress and ensuring adherence to timelines.
  • Identify and escalate project risks and issues, proactively addressing any challenges that may arise during the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in project management, with a background in MEP design and construction coordination preferred.
  • Solid understanding of construction processes, methodologies, and best practices, with demonstrated experience supporting the design of construction projects from start to finish.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting MEP/FA/FP design drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Working knowledge of architectural, structural, civil documents to understand how the mechanical/electrical systems are integrated into the building.
  • Understanding of the many common Codes for Building, Plumbing, NFPA (fire, electrical, etc.), Mechanical, and Life Safety.
  • Good understanding of Specifications Divisions and where to go in the various sections in coordinating responsibilities and various testing and documentation requirements of the project.
  • Excellent technical and analytical skills, with the ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and make sound engineering judgments.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to think strategically and demonstrate flexibility in order to achieve long-range objectives.
  • Ability to lead meetings effectively, ensuring clear communication and documentation of discussions, decisions, and action items.
  • Self-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity and motivated to work as a team and lead others.
  • Top-notch organization, attention to detail combined with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
  • Proficiency with BlueBeam.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, business administration, or a related field.
  • A valid PMP certification.
