Position Summary: The role of the Housekeeper is vital in ensuring a clean, sanitary, and inviting atmosphere within our facilities and residential apartments. The cleanliness of our environments is integral to our therapeutic approach, influencing client comfort, safety, and overall care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to and uphold the core values and mission of the organization.
- Perform a variety of cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing surfaces.
- Conduct thorough deep cleaning sessions at each facility, utilizing appropriate disinfecting products.
- Maintain and inspect all areas, including kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, staff offices, and communal spaces, ensuring they meet established standards.
- Regularly sanitize all surfaces, including restrooms, windows, furniture, and flooring.
- At our Residential Treatment Centers, clean client bedrooms according to a set schedule, which includes changing linens, vacuuming, and proper waste disposal.
- Change and launder bed linens and towels regularly, ensuring they are clean and presentable.
- Report any damages or issues with furniture, equipment, or property to the supervisor.
- Monitor cleaning supply inventory and replenish items as necessary, communicating needs to onsite leadership.
- Follow health and safety protocols and company practices, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required.
- Assist with special events or new program launches as needed.
- Ensure all interactions are respectful and appropriate for the populations served.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high performance standards.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals through various mediums.
- Frequent movement between multiple-story facilities may be required.
- Capability to work in occasionally noisy environments.
- Physical ability to stand, sit, stoop, bend, and lift/move items up to 20 lbs.
- Demonstrated ability to work respectfully with clients and staff from diverse backgrounds.
- Maintain a positive and welcoming demeanor towards all individuals within the organization.
- Utilize professional communication when addressing concerns with clients or colleagues.
- Successful completion of a comprehensive background check is required.
The compensation for this position ranges from $21 to $25 per hour.
