- Empty waste baskets and replace liners as needed in lunchrooms and break areas
- Wipe and clean all table tops and chairs, vending machines, and appliances
- Clean and sanitize toilets, basins, and urinals, and spot clean walls, partitions, and doors as needed
- Sweep and mop floors with disinfectant
- Perform periodic tasks such as cleaning overhead vents, dusting blinds, polishing wood furniture, and cleaning interior partition glass
- Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment to clean areas
- Scrub, wax, and polish floors using industrial scrubbing and buffing machines
- Use ladders, dust and wash walls, clean ceilings, and dust and polish light fixtures as needed
- Remove stains from surfaces such as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions
- Sweep walkways, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow, or perform other incidental seasonal tasks
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- 6 months of experience in commercial facilities and building janitorial work desired
- Clean driving record required
Small to large office environment with fast-paced work environment. Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, cleaning products, and noise. Safety glasses required while performing certain tasks.
