Mold/Asbestos/Flame-AA Specialist

Eurofins EPK Built Environment Testing, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Mold/Asbestos/Flame-AA Analyst to join our team in Pomona, CA.

• Perform analysis of Paint Chip, Bulk, and Wipe samples using Flame AA for Lead.
• Conduct analysis of bulk samples using PLM for asbestos, and analysis of non-culturable surface and air samples for fungi.
• Prepare and analyze environmental samples according to scientific methodology in compliance with company Quality Assurance programs and SOP's.
• Validate and review data for accuracy, and enter laboratory data into the LIMS that ultimately generates required reports to clients.
• Schedule sample workload according to due dates and sample hold times.

• 1+ year of experience performing metal analysis using Flame-AA or ICP instrumentation.
• 1+ years of experience performing asbestos microscopy using Polarizing Light Microscope (PLM) and TEM.
• Bachelor's degree in geology, microbiology, biology, chemistry or a closely related science.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
• Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.

• 8 units of Microbiology courses.
• General regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of computers, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.

• Competitive compensation range: $22- $26 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
• Full-time position, Monday - Friday 8a-5pm shift with overtime and weekends as needed.
