Maxim Healthcare Services is on the lookout for a dedicated Practical Nursing Specialist (LPN) who will take charge of the nursing process and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. The Practical Nursing Specialist (LPN) is expected to exhibit sound clinical judgment in a timely and effective manner under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Services.

Current Opportunities:

  • Leicester, NC: Pediatric care, ventilator support, tracheostomy care, and G-tube management. Schedule: 2 nights per week & weekends (7 PM - 7 AM).
  • Asheville, NC: Pediatric care, G-tube management, and some lifting required. Schedule: Monday to Friday (3 PM - 8 PM, transitioning to 8 AM - 8 PM in Summer).
  • Franklin, NC: Pediatric care, ventilator assistance, and tracheostomy care. Schedule: Monday to Wednesday nights (7 PM - 7 AM).
  • Rosman, NC: Pediatric care, tracheostomy care, pulse oximetry, assistance with mobility. Schedule: 2 days per week, ideally Thursday and Friday (7:30 AM - 4:30 PM).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employ the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Identify signs and symptoms that indicate physiological and psychosocial changes in patients.
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret data from healthcare team members, documenting nursing diagnoses.
  • Record the patient's care plan utilizing identified nursing diagnoses, expected outcomes, and selected interventions.
  • Execute interventions based on established priorities, care plans, and hospital policies.
  • Adjust care plans based on evaluations and changes in medical directives.
  • Utilize clinical judgment to meet the patient care needs of the assigned unit.
  • Perform other Practical Nursing Specialist (LPN) duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License in the respective state.
  • Current Health Certificate as per facility requirements.
  • Up-to-date PPD or Chest X-Ray.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Preferred: One year of prior experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
