Job Summary

The University of New Mexico is seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our IT Applications Development Operations Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the intake process and workload operation of our critical enterprise application portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct business and technical analysis to support the mapping of critical processes, both internal and external.
  • Collaborate with campus partners to gather and document system and business requirements, including requirements traceability matrices.
  • Coordinate applications workload monitoring, collaborating with the IT Applications Team, Leadership, and Requestors to schedule work, resources, and schedules.
  • Support the governance process for projects, leading the intake workload management for the Development and Operations teams to ensure incoming requests are processed and routed to the appropriate team and workload information is up-to-date and available to our campus partners.
  • Document and develop IT Applications standards, as applicable.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 60 college-level credit hours and at least 7 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis.
  • Strong communication, team, customer relations, and organizational skills.
  • Experience working closely with customers to understand their needs and translating those needs into technical solutions.
  • Ability to analyze complex issues from a business and technical perspective.
  • Ability to self-manage time when assigned multiple projects, incidents, and service requests.
