We are seeking an experienced and dedicated School Psychologist to support the mental health and educational success of students in a dynamic school environment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Psychological Assessments: Evaluate students' educational and emotional needs through comprehensive assessments and evaluations.
- Provide Counseling Services: Offer individual and group counseling to students addressing emotional, behavioral, and academic issues.
- Collaborate with School Staff: Work with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop and implement effective intervention strategies.
- Develop and Review IEPs and 504 Plans: Assist in the creation and review of individualized education plans and 504 plans to ensure students receive necessary support.
- Crisis Intervention and Support: Provide crisis intervention and support for students experiencing acute psychological distress.
- Training and Workshops: Conduct workshops and training sessions for school staff on mental health topics and best practices.
- Record Keeping and Confidentiality: Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and student progress.
- Team Collaboration: Participate in multidisciplinary teams to support student development and address any issues impacting student learning and well-being.
- Education: Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Valid Tennessee School Psychologist license or certification.
- Experience: Experience working in a school setting preferred.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and school staff.
- Assessment and Intervention Skills: Ability to conduct psychological assessments and provide evidence-based interventions.
- Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills for managing records and documentation.
