Work Schedule: PRN
Shift: Per Diem
Position Overview:
Deliver exceptional patient care within the medical imaging department. Execute high-quality imaging procedures while being attentive to patient needs. Adhere to established radiation safety standards. Exhibit leadership qualities and serve as a mentor for fellow technologists. Act as a clinical resource for students, staff technologists, and other healthcare personnel. Ensure compliance with current best practices for the unit.
Your Contributions to the Team:
- Conduct diagnostic radiology procedures, ensuring safety for yourself, patients, and others. Follow all regulations related to radiation safety, minimizing exposure to the lowest possible levels (ALARA).
- Generate quality images accurately and promptly.
- Prepare patients for examinations, providing them and their families with information and guidance regarding the procedures while addressing their physical and emotional needs.
- Assist patients during exams and ensure proper positioning.
- Monitor patients and equipment throughout procedures, documenting any unusual occurrences and recording the patient's condition.
Qualifications:
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Registered Technologist, Radiology - R.T. (R) (ARRT)
- Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association
- Bone Density certification preferred within six months of hire, if applicable
