Key Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate nursing care in post-acute facilities
- Monitor residents' physical and mental health, tracking vital signs
- Conduct resident intakes and document medical histories and concerns
- Assist with medication administration and verification
- Foster a safe and comfortable environment for residents
- Maintain accurate medical records and charts
- Support the setup of IVs, immunizations, and phlebotomy procedures
- Manage medical supplies and inventory
- Adhere to resident care plans and collaborate with staff in training new colleagues
Qualifications and Skills
- Current state license to practice as a Practical Nursing Specialist
- Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing educational program
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in a similar role
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
