Certification Requirements
  • ARRT-MRI certification is mandatory.
  • All necessary certifications and licenses to operate as an MRI Technician.
Job Specifications
  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
  • Shift: 4x10 Nights (40 hours) Monday-Thursday
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year required
  • First-Time Travelers: Welcomed
  • On-Call Requirement: Not required
  • Weekend Work: Not required
  • Floating: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs
  • Block Schedule: Not accommodated
  • Local Candidates: Not accepted; candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
  • Pending Licenses: Not accepted; Alaska license is necessary
  • Time Off: Approved on an individual basis upon offer
  • Guaranteed Hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks; may be called off for 1, 12-hour shift per 2 weeks
Job Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI scans primarily on brain and spine cases, with additional abdominal and extremity imaging.
  • Experience with anesthesia and ICU patients is essential.
  • Transitioning to full-time operation in an MRI trailer during the replacement of the main hospital magnet, utilizing both the Siemen's Espree trailer and a GE system.

  • Unit: MRI
  • Unit Specifics: Focus on brain and spine imaging, with no scans for enterography, prostate, cardiac, or breast. Extensive work with anesthesia and ICU patients.
