Job Overview

The Electronics Technician at our FAA Repair Station is responsible for conducting intricate inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment returned by customers, adhering strictly to all company and FAA regulations. This role also involves contributing to the development and upkeep of repair protocols to support enhancements in products and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and repair electronic devices in line with established repair station standards.
  • Communicate repair details effectively with colleagues and management as necessary.
  • Notify the Support and Service team about recurring issues, errors, and any incidents impacting the repair station's operations.
  • Ensure all repair activities comply with procedural guidelines and the latest document revisions.
  • Initiate and execute product improvement strategies while ensuring proper training is received to maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and procedures.
  • Maintain regular attendance and may be required to work evenings, weekends, or additional hours as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Extensive technical expertise in avionics repair.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex electronic circuits at the component level.
  • Capability to devise solutions in unusual or infrequent situations based on existing guidelines.
  • Proficient in computer usage.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
Education and Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience in electronics repair.
  • Enrollment and participation in the DOT FAA Drug/Alcohol Abatement Program is required.
  • Experience in an FAA Repair Station is preferred.
  • FAA Repairman certification is advantageous.
  • Certification as a Repair Station Repairman is required.
