Operating Room Manager

Banner Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse RN Intraoperative Manager to join our team. As a key member of our OR team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the unit, ensuring smooth and efficient patient care management, and promoting a culture of excellence and safety.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position with a varied schedule, Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends. You will be working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient-centered care. We offer a competitive salary, benefits package, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
Responsibilities- Oversee the operations of the OR unit, ensuring efficient patient care management and promoting a culture of excellence and safety.
- Manage the unit to ensure patient and employee satisfaction, while promoting safety and retention.
- Coordinate quality initiatives and process improvements, aligning with metrics and promoting a culture of excellence.
- Develop leadership skills among staff, including communication, decision-making, problem-solving, and employee engagement.
- Facilitate unit meetings and shared governance/leadership efforts.
- Responsible for selection, orientation, on-boarding, and retention of staff, demonstrating leadership through coaching, performance evaluations, and development opportunities.
- Assist in the development of the operational and capital budget, providing daily operational resource management, including staff, supplies, and equipment.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong knowledge and understanding of nursing and healthcare, normally obtained through the completion of a bachelor's degree in nursing.
- A current RN license in the state of practice.
- At least 1-2 years of clinical experience relevant to the patient population.
- Critical thinking, communication, influence, decision-making, analytical, and flexibility skills to make optimal decisions based on multiple variables and desired outcomes.
