Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Deputy Sheriff to join our team at the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office. As a Deputy Sheriff, you will be responsible for maintaining law and order, enforcing laws and regulations, and providing public safety services to our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce laws and regulations, and maintain order in our community
  • Investigate crimes and gather evidence
  • Provide public safety services, including responding to emergency calls and providing assistance to citizens
  • Work closely with other law enforcement agencies and community organizations to achieve public safety goals
  • Perform other related duties as required
Requirements
  • Must have attended a law enforcement academy and acquired POST Certification
  • Must have a valid driver's license issued by the State of Colorado
  • Must be physically able to perform the duties of the job, including operating a variety of machinery and equipment
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and efficiently in a variety of technical and professional languages
  • Must have a strong understanding of modern law enforcement practices, procedures, and investigation techniques
