Corporate Finance Analyst

About the Role

DataEdge Consulting is seeking a skilled Corporate Finance Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in the implementation of our new budgeting and forecasting application.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the gathering of business requirements for the implementation of the new application.
  • Work closely with finance teams to assess and analyze business functions and processes to define and articulate business requirements and needs.
  • Establish meeting cadences, structure, and timelines to ensure effective communication and project management.
  • Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion as part of the overall project plan.
  • Generate requirements and mock-ups documentation to ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements.
  • Collaborate with IT and external consultants to implement requirements in the application.
  • Validate budget and forecast models once completed.
  • Review and approve documentation produced by technical writers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with graduate degrees or certifications a plus.
  • 4-6+ years of Accounting/Finance experience, with 2+ years of project experience a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and possess strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work and model a high sense of ownership, collaboration, and execution excellence.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships, influence stakeholders, and partner with others to determine acceptable solutions.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables in a tight deadline-driven environment and adjust to changing priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Superior communication skills, both oral and written.
