Position Overview:
This role involves collaborating with fellow healthcare professionals to ensure optimal imaging procedures are conducted.
The imaging services provided adhere to the standards set forth by Title 17 (Radiologic Health Branch) and Title 22 (Department of Health Services) for the State of California. This includes the application of principles in assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and modifying patient imaging care as an ongoing process.
Specifics for the Los Gatos Campus:
Due to the hospital's recognition as a Designated Primary Stroke Center (PSC) by the Santa Clara County EMS Stroke Care System, the CT Technologist at this campus will not be relieved of all duties during a 30-minute meal period. This meal period will be considered an "on-duty" meal period and counted as time worked.
An "on-duty" meal period is permitted only when the nature of the work prevents an employee from being relieved of all duties and is agreed upon in writing between the involved parties. The written agreement must state that the employee may revoke the agreement in writing at any time.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in CT preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography (ARRT(R)) and, upon hire or within four months of hire, registered in Computed Tomography (ARRT (CT)).
Licenses/Certifications:
- Current California CRT Certificate.
- Current California Fluoroscopy Certificate.
- Continues to perform Diagnostic X-ray based on departmental needs.
- Basic Lifesaving Certification (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
- California Certification in Venipuncture.
Salary Range:
$77.90 USD Hourly.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires medium work, including standing for the majority of the shift and the ability to lift up to 35 lbs. The role involves sitting, kneeling, climbing, and squatting frequently.
