Job Summary

Cibes|Symmetry is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Roanoke, IL facility.

This is a 1st shift position, working from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance, operate, and test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
  • Dismantle and troubleshoot machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts.
  • Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, gears, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventative maintenance actions.
  • Repair, clean, and lubricate machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices.
  • Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
  • Plan and lay out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.
  • May align and balance new equipment after installation.
  • May perform general handyman repairs or maintenance on the building, including grounds maintenance.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area free of foreign materials.
  • Participate in training and cross-training efforts as needed.
Requirements
  • Industrial maintenance technician or mechanic experience.
  • Ability to read, understand, and apply information from manuals or catalogs.
  • Properly use a wide variety of tools (manual and power).
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent required.
Working Conditions

This position is located in an industrial/production environment, with exposure to:

  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach within hands and arm's length, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
  • Regularly required to stand for long periods of time.
  • Arm-Hand Steadiness - The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.
  • Manual Dexterity - The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequently required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and balance.
  • Near Vision - The ability to see details at close range.
  • Noise levels typical of a manufacturing production environment.
  • Finger Dexterity - The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
  • Intermittent exposure to cold or heat.
  • Ability to work in proximity to moving, mechanical parts and machinery.
