Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Software Engineer to join our Corporate Sector's AIML and Data platform team at JPMorgan Chase.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology products and contribute to the firm's business objectives.

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering secure, stable, and scalable software solutions.

You will lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture.

Additionally, you will lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop secure, high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others.
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.
  • Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture.
  • Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.
  • Add to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Requirements
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Expertise in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of Tableau dashboards and reports.
  • Proficient in best practices around visualization and storytelling with data.
  • Experience with requirements gathering and client interactions.
  • Ability to understand and work with disparate data sources.
  • Practical cloud native experience.
  • Self-starter, team-player and will be expected to manage and complete their tasks in a fast-paced results driven environment.
