Pharmacy Manager Job Description

Your responsibilities will include supervising pharmacy staff, ensuring patient safety, and managing the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations in the pharmacy department, including inventory management and workflow management.
  • Responsible for filling prescriptions accurately and providing customer counselling and remarkable customer service.
  • Communicate with the entire healthcare team, patients, and third-party insurance companies.
  • Operate computer filling systems, email, and fax machines, and answer phones.
  • Inventory management, including ordering, addressing out of stocks, and maintaining inventory goals.
  • Complete and file paperwork as per company policy and interface with supervision, operations, and store management.
  • Supervise pharmacy staff, including hiring, training, work assignments, performance reviews, and terminations.
  • Responsible for compliance with all policies and procedures set forth by the company and assist with HBC items and HBC Counselling.
  • Lead clinical programs, including MTM, Diabetic education classes, Health Screenings, Time My Meds, and Immunizations.
Requirements:
  • Meet with store management team regularly to review metrics, set goals, and objectives.
  • Responsible for resolving temperature excursions in the pharmacy and seeking out marketing opportunities in the community.
