Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to deliver optimal cancer treatment using ionizing radiation at Clickajobs. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a Radiation Oncologist and may be required to travel to multiple locations to provide coverage.
Key Responsibilities
- Treat patients with ionizing radiation while adhering to regulatory guidelines and maintaining accurate medical records.
- Monitor equipment parameters, document malfunctions, and understand emergency procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical records and treatment schedules, recognizing and reporting patient concerns and physical problems to relevant personnel.
- Document treatments and associated details in the radiation oncology EMR, communicating instructions and procedures to patients and their families.
- Assist in the clinical instruction of Radiation Therapy Students and provide radiation therapist coverage at various LCI Radiation Oncology sites as needed.
Physical Requirements
This role requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. Strong communication and critical thinking skills are essential.
Qualifications
A graduate degree from an AMA-approved school of Therapeutic Radiology or international equivalent is required. Registration with the ARRT or eligibility to register within the first 90 days of employment is also mandatory, along with BLS certification.
