Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ophthalmic Photographer to join our Clinical Operations team at Midwest Vision Partners. As an Ophthalmic Photographer, you will play a critical role in documenting specific disease processes through photography and other imaging devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Preparation: Bring patients from the waiting area into the photography room, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Imaging and Documentation: Navigate through our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system to verify and document patient information, including uploading files and photos to the patient's chart.
  • Imaging Equipment Operation: Shoot accurate OCTs on both Zeiss and Heidelberg machines, take fundus photos on Zeiss, Eidon, and Optos cameras, and perform FA's and ICG's on multiple camera systems.
  • Visual Field and Color Vision Tests: Conduct visual field and color vision tests to assess patient vision and detect any abnormalities.
  • Record Keeping: Record patient information in Excel spreadsheets, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot camera or machine issues and communicate with technical support as needed to minimize downtime.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience: Experience with Humphrey Visual Fields, OCTs, angiograms, and fundus photos.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Medical Terminology: Knowledge of medical terminology and the ability to understand and apply it in a clinical setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ophthalmic Technician Experience: Previous experience as an Ophthalmic Technician or in a related field.
