Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Behavioral Health Provider to join our team at Hektoen Institute LLC. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will provide bilingual (English and Spanish) services to patients, including psychotherapy, substance use assessments, and treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct clinical assessments and documentation, ensuring adherence to internal standards.
  • Provide direct treatment services to clients, including individual, couple, family, and group substance use treatment, as directed by the treatment team and/or supervisor.
  • Facilitate groups and provide mental health and substance use services to patients, as directed by the supervisor.
  • Offer behavioral health on-call and consultation/psychotherapy services to clinics, inpatient CCHS, and other service areas.
  • Provide clinical supervision and support to non-licensed staff.
  • Maintain a list of community resources related to treatment programs, shelters, housing, state and federal entitlements, HIV/Chemical Dependency counseling, Halfway and Quarter-Way Houses, and HIV/Chemical dependency support groups.
  • Make referrals for BHCS clients and follow up to ensure continuity of substance use treatment.
  • Document all activities as required by regulatory agencies and supervisor, including patient incentives, transportation, and patient electronic medical records, including billing when appropriate.
  • Participate in and/or conduct in-service training as required or recommended via supervision sessions and as required for IAODAPCA certification.
  • Provide educational sessions for clients, including preparation for lectures and psycho-educational groups.
  • Participate in all clinical and administrative meetings, as assigned. Prepare for and attend all Clinical Staffings and patient-related meetings, providing consultation.
  • Work in a professional and cooperative manner with clients and staff, adhering to the Code of Ethics, employee conduct expectations, policies, and procedures, and adhering to all Federal and State laws on confidentiality.
  • Provide management and coordination of care for patients receiving medication-assisted treatment for substance addictions.
  • Valid Illinois driver's license and regular access to a reliable automobile, with a willingness to travel amongst sites.
  • Enhance CCHIP-wide and behavioral health research.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Word and computer skills in word processing and database management programs required.
  • Knowledge and familiarity of virtual meeting platforms required.
  • Assist with cross-coverage when other staff members are absent and as assigned by supervisor.
  • Knowledgeable and applicable use of SUPR guidelines, Title 42 CFR, and Illinois Part 2060.
  • Employees are responsible for maintaining patient interaction, documents, patient care/coordination, medical information, and other work-related materials in a designated confidential and secure remote office location.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor, Associate Director, or Designee.
Qualifications

We are seeking a highly qualified candidate with a Master's Degree from an accredited school, licensed as a Social Worker or Counselor, and pending licensure as a Clinical Social Worker or Clinical Professional Counselor within 6 months of hire. CADC, CODP, MAATP, or other IAODAPCA certification is required. Experience providing behavioral health services, particularly with Spanish-speaking populations and other culturally diverse populations, is essential. Experience working with persons with HIV or other chronic illnesses is also required. Strong computer skills, knowledge of virtual meeting platforms, and secure remote workspace are necessary. Travel between multiple sites is possible, and professional liability insurance coverage is required. Experience supervising students is preferred. Good verbal and written communication skills, as well as specific clinical documentation knowledge/skills in English and Spanish, are required. Bilingual competence in English and Spanish is required.
