About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Maintenance Technician to join our team at Penske Truck Leasing/Transportation Solutions. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service to our customers by diagnosing and repairing various maintenance issues on our trucks in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair various maintenance issues on our trucks.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure our vehicles are in good working condition.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to resolve any technical issues that may arise during maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems and implement preventative measures.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in the industry.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years practical experience with tractor trailer maintenance required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Vocational/Technical or certification preferred.
  • Specialized training in the repair and replacement of vehicle components preferred.
  • Proficiency in the use of shop tools required.
  • Current CDL license with air brake certification required.

Salary: $26.25 - $32.79 / negotiable.

Hours: TBD by Branch Manager.

Shift Differentials:

  • Second shift start times after 11am are eligible for $2.00 per hour shift differential.
  • Third shift start time after 9pm are eligible for $3.00 per hour shift differential.
