We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Ambassador Theatre Group. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our venues, including the Majestic Theatre, Empire Theatre, and The Espee.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and replacements of equipment and fixtures.
- Conduct thorough inspections of buildings and other structures to detect malfunctions and needed repairs.
- Perform minor electrical and plumbing maintenance, including replacement or repair of fixtures, outlets, and other electrical and plumbing components.
- Assist with painting and carpentry tasks, including preparing surfaces and applying paints, stains, and varnishes.
- Reconfigure, install, and assemble office furniture to accommodate user needs and maximize office space.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, with additional certifications or training.
- Five (5+) years in facilities, trade, or similar positions.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and fire alarm/burglar systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical repairs.
- Experience using hand and electrical tools.
- Understanding of work order system.
- Must be able to work on ladders.
- Must be able to perform moderate to heavy lifting.
- Effective verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
- Effective time management skills.
- Ability to work independently or as a team member.
