Product Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Engineer to join our team at ATI. As a Product Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our customers and ensuring the quality of our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review customer specifications and requirements to support sales teams in approving customer quotes.
  • Create and implement quality system documents for as-HIP'd near-net shape parts.
  • Support certifications and testing of orders and shipments.
  • Utilize Continuous Improvement tools to increase yield, improve quality, and reduce costs.
  • Provide technical support to commercial teams during customer engagement.
  • Communicate results to management, colleagues, and customers through written reports and oral presentations.
Requirements:
  • Minimum B.S. in Material Science Engineering or related discipline.
  • CAD experience is a plus.
  • Technical background in metal or metallic powder processing is preferred.
  • Statistical data analysis experience using JMP, Mini-Tab, or related software is preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
  • Technical writing/oral presentation skills.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills at all levels.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers.
  • Comfortable presenting at technical meetings.
  • Comfortable being on the shop floor observing processes, providing guidance, and interfacing with operators.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts and requirements to shop floor personnel in a clear, concise manner.
  • Must be enthusiastic about tackling challenges and comfortable with working in a continuous improvement environment.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently as well as on a team.
  • Eager to become a technical expert and primary point of contact in area of responsibility.
  • Use scientifically rigorous, data-driven approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure while maintaining composure and meeting established deadlines.
  • Must be willing to travel.
