Department: Corrugator/ConvertingThis role is essential for maintaining operational efficiency within our facility. The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for executing both preventative and corrective maintenance tasks to enhance equipment reliability and support production objectives. A deep understanding of safety protocols, troubleshooting techniques, and the maintenance of both mechanical and electrical manufacturing systems is required.
Key Responsibilities:- Adhere to Lockout/Tagout procedures during maintenance operations.
- Install, lubricate, troubleshoot, and repair machinery in compliance with plant standards and practices.
- Maintain and restore corrugated plant machinery according to manufacturer guidelines, operating manuals, and technical schematics.
- Analyze and resolve issues in mechanical and electrical systems, including solenoids and valves within hydraulic and pneumatic frameworks.
- Address mechanical and electrical maintenance issues throughout the facility.
- Comply with all environmental and safety regulations while actively engaging in the safety program.
- Communicate effectively regarding completed tasks and equipment status through both written and verbal channels.
- In-depth knowledge of CMMS Systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, VPS, and email communication.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Willingness to learn and utilize various software applications.
- Preferred experience of 4 years in electro-mechanical roles within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Familiarity with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems typical in manufacturing, particularly in printing and converting machinery.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Experience with testing equipment (e.g., meters, micrometers) and PLC hardware/software.
- Proficient in using machine shop tools and equipment such as drills, saws, and grinders.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively, with flexibility for overtime and weekend shifts.
Ideal candidates will have formal training in electrical or mechanical technology, along with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in industrial machinery maintenance. Strong critical thinking skills and a broad knowledge base across electrical and mechanical disciplines are crucial.
Physical Requirements:- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Physical capability to climb ladders and maneuver in confined spaces.
- Capacity to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
1st Shift: 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM
2nd Shift: 3:30 PM to 1:00 AM
Hourly wage ranges from $27.00 to $30.00, plus a $0.20 per hour shift differential.
