Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Clinical Medical Assistant to join our team at Digestive Health Partners. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare providers with clinic visits, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience.
  • Provide direct and telehealth quality care and service to patients, adhering to the highest standards of patient care.
  • Review patient charts and update clinic visit information in our electronic health record system.
  • Obtain patient vitals and room patients while providing quality patient care.
  • Handle walk-in patients, obtain requests, and provide information or tasks to healthcare providers.
  • Speak with pharmaceutical representatives and accept samples, ensuring compliance with our policies and procedures.
  • Setup clinic rooms with equipment for procedures, educate and prepare patients, and assist healthcare providers with procedures.
  • Participate in Covid-19 screening clinics, testing, cleaning, and other related activities.
  • Demonstrate adaptability to changes in the daily schedule and maintain a high level of productivity.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and privacy of patient and patient records, adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge and role of all safety plans, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in in-service programs to maintain and improve knowledge and skills.
  • Demonstrate effective teamwork and communication skills, fostering positive interactions among team members.
  • Maintain orderliness, cleanliness, and preparation of rooms between clinic visits, ensuring a high level of patient satisfaction.
  • Refer situations beyond your ability or function to appropriate team members, ensuring seamless communication.
  • Assist with restocking of equipment or supplies and monitoring supply inventory, ensuring a well-stocked and efficient clinical environment.
  • Foster positive interactions among team members and effectively communicate with other departments as necessary.
  • Maintain Basic Life Support (CPR) training certification and function within the scope of practice for a CCMA, adhering to our policies and procedures.
  • Participate in in-services and continuing education to maintain and improve knowledge and skills, ensuring a high level of clinical competence.
  • Perform other clinical duties as needed, ensuring a high level of patient care and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • BLS Certification (Preferred)
  • CCMA Certification (Required)
  • 1 year of experience in vital signs (Preferred)
  • Ability to relocate to Brevard, NC 28712 (Required)
