Position Summary: Verdantas is seeking a skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. This is a hybrid role, and candidates must be local to the specified areas.

The Oil & Gas division at Verdantas is expanding. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will contribute to various projects, including well pads, compressor stations, RNG, LNG, and more. You will collaborate within multi-disciplinary teams and be part of this exciting venture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop electrical drawings, specifications, calculations, charts, and graphs related to Oil & Gas projects, including upstream, midstream, and downstream facilities.
  • Manage project controls, cost estimates, quantity takeoffs, and manpower requirements for proposals, forecasts, and change orders.
  • Lead design work and oversee QA/QC plan sets and specifications.
  • Facilitate client communication and coordination.
  • Collaborate within a multi-discipline engineering team.
  • Execute assignments independently with general guidance from the Project Manager or discipline manager on complex issues.
  • Provide technical direction and on-the-job training to drafters, designers, and junior engineers.
  • Assume the lead engineer's role on assigned projects.
  • Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate a program of assigned engineering work and projects.
  • Ensure effective interdisciplinary coordination and communication on projects.
  • Compile bid, approval, and construction issue drawing packages.
  • Participate in client and team design review meetings.
  • Conduct job site visits to gather or deliver design and engineering data.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related scientific discipline with 5-10 years of experience, preferably in the Oil & Gas sector.
  • E.I.T. certification required; licensed P.E. preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT, or Plant 3D.
  • Experience with ETAP or SKM (Arc Flash, Short-Circuit, PD Coordination, Power Quality, and Harmonic Analysis).
  • Expertise in low and medium-voltage applications, switchgear, MCC's, utility coordination, lightning protection, and protection relays.
  • Familiarity with National Fire Protection Association/National Electrical Code (NFPA/NEC) Standards, and other relevant standards including AGA, ANSI/NEMA, IEEE, API.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
