Located in the Tri-State region, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at Optum.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced medical office specialist to perform various duties, including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, collecting patient information, and maintaining accurate medical records. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Schedule appointments with patients and healthcare providers
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
  • Gather and update patient demographic and medical information
  • Maintain accurate and complete medical records, both electronic and physical
  • Collect co-pays and process payments according to company policies
  • Respond to patient inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; 3+ years of experience in a medical office setting preferred
  • Intermediate computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and EMR software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $40,000 and $70,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
