Eduro Healthcare is in search of a Respiratory Therapist to enhance our Skilled Nursing Facility operations.

Key Responsibilities of the Respiratory Therapist:

As a Respiratory Therapist, your primary duties will include:

  • Conducting thorough chest assessments across a diverse patient demographic, from infants to seniors.
  • Collaborating with physicians and healthcare personnel to formulate and adjust patient care strategies.
  • Delivering advanced therapeutic interventions that necessitate considerable independent decision-making, particularly in critical care settings.
  • Executing physical evaluations and diagnostic assessments to gauge lung functionality and blood gas levels.
  • Administering treatments utilizing oxygen therapies, aerosolized medications, and chest physiotherapy techniques.
  • Connecting patients requiring respiratory assistance to mechanical ventilators.
  • Instructing patients on the proper use of medical equipment and prescribed medications.
  • Regularly monitoring both patients and therapeutic devices to ensure optimal care.

Educational Background and Licensing Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field
  • A minimum of six months of relevant experience within the past two years or completion of a clinical rotation in a critical care environment
  • Valid state license as a Respiratory Therapist, meeting all educational prerequisites
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) to be obtained within three months of employment
  • Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers
