About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative to join our team at Southcoast Health System. As a Patient Access Representative, you will play a critical role in facilitating patient access throughout our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure patient compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Collect and verify patient information to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement.
  • Determine and collect patient liabilities.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide excellent patient care.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Medical Terminology Certificate preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including medical-based programs.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and other software programs preferred.
  • At least three years of related healthcare experience, including working with third-party payers.
  • CHAM (Certified Healthcare Access Manager) or CHAA (Certified Healthcare Access Associate) preferred.
