Job Overview

Position Title: CNC Lathe Operator

Role Summary: Responsible for producing high-quality components from engineering drawings and specifications with precision and efficiency. This is a full-time position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure machines with the correct materials and tools, adjusting operational parameters as necessary.
  • Utilize specific software to make necessary adjustments directly at the machine, programming as required.
  • Safely and effectively operate machining tools to create parts within designated specifications.
  • Oversee the machining process by verifying dimensions and quality using calipers and other measurement instruments.
  • Handle finished products and organize them in designated areas using appropriate lifting equipment.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols consistently.
  • Foster a collaborative and respectful environment with all colleagues and external partners.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient understanding of machining processes enabling the ability to manufacture parts from blueprints to final products.
  • Formal training or hands-on experience with CNC lathes.
  • Strong mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, algebra, and trigonometry.
  • Capability to operate cranes, hoists, and lifts safely and efficiently.
  • Previous experience in a machining setting.
