Job Details:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Programmer to join our dynamic team. The primary function of this role is to develop, test, and optimize CNC programs using MasterCam to drive efficiency and productivity in our manufacturing process. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in 3, 4, and 5 axis programming, machine setup, and CNC machine operation. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a competitive salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, test, and modify CNC programs using MasterCam software for 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC machines.
2. Review and interpret blueprints, engineering plans, and geometric dimensions and tolerances to plan machining operations.
3. Setup, adjust, and operate CNC machines to perform diverse and complex machining operations.
4. Monitor output and ensure the accuracy of all production runs, making adjustments as needed to produce parts to specifications.
5. Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to understand work order requirements and to troubleshoot machining issues.
6. Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
7. Train and guide less experienced operators and machinists.
8. Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, and troubleshooting malfunctions.
9. Stay updated with latest industry trends, equipment, and best practices to continuously improve job knowledge and technical expertise.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Programmer in the engineering industry.
2. Proficiency in MasterCam programming for 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC machines.
3. Thorough knowledge of machine setup and CNC machine operation.
4. Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and engineering plans.
5. Strong understanding of geometric dimensions and tolerances.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex machining issues.
7. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to train and guide less experienced team members.
8. Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
9. High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.
10. Certification from a technical school or trade association is a plus.
