Key Responsibilities of the Server:

  • Warmly greets and engages with all members in a courteous and prompt manner.
  • Familiarizes with and presents the menu along with wine selections to members.
  • Accurately takes food and beverage orders from members and communicates them to the kitchen.
  • Efficiently retrieves prepared orders from the kitchen and delivers them to members.
  • Handles check presentations and closes out tickets promptly, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Exhibits a genuine interest in members' needs or inquiries and strives to accommodate reasonable requests.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times.
  • Ensures beverage and side stations are clean and free of dirty glassware, plates, and utensils.
  • Successfully completes alcohol awareness and food safety training within the first month of employment.
  • Communicates effectively, receiving feedback and acting on observations and information.
  • Adheres to departmental uniform and grooming standards.
  • Follows departmental and club policies and procedures.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications for the Server:
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
  • One or more years of experience as a food server, preferably in a fine dining setting.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Knowledge of fine wines and spirits with the ability to recommend and serve is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and presentation skills with the ability to understand and follow directions.
  • Ability to handle customer service challenges with tact and understanding, even in stressful situations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to provide outstanding service to members and a desire to lead the department towards achieving its goals.
  • Able to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements for the Server:
  • Standing and walking for the entirety of the shift.
  • Lifting, carrying, or moving items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and reaching upwards.
