Physician Assistant

This position is responsible for providing direct and comprehensive primary, therapeutic, and preventive medical care to individuals of all ages. The successful candidate will assess, plan, and implement care plans, make diagnoses, and prescribe medications as needed. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as the physician assistant will work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop treatment protocols and standards of practice.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and plan comprehensive medical care for patients of all ages
- Provide direct and preventive medical care, including vaccinations and health screenings
- Make diagnoses and prescribe medications as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop treatment protocols and standards of practice
- Document patient data and care plans in electronic health records
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have a strong educational background in a related field, such as physician assistant studies or a related health science. A minimum of one year of work experience as a certified physician assistant is also required. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Working ConditionsThis position is located within the US Department of Health and Human Services and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be required to work nights, weekends, and rotating shifts as needed. A background investigation will be conducted prior to hire, and the selected candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment fingerprint check.
