About the PositionWe are seeking a Graduate Assistant to work closely with the Department of Psychology and Human Services to implement the Child Care Access Means Parents in School (CCAMPIS) Grant program. This program provides Pell-eligible undergraduate student-parents with child care subsidies to support their degree completion.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of child development and be able to effectively communicate with students and staff. Strong written and oral communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities- Attend university events and informational sessions to share information about the child care subsidy program with incoming and current students
- Participate in meetings with the student-led parent support group to gather feedback and provide updates on available resources and services
- Help connect parenting students with various university resources and services
- Assist in reviewing and maintaining data for applicant screening and Annual Performance Reports
To be eligible for this position, you must be a currently enrolled Clayton State University student with a bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Child Development, Social Work, Education, or an allied field. You must also be currently enrolled in a graduate program in one of these fields.
Compensation and BenefitsThis is a 20-hour per week graduate assistantship that offers a total compensation of $20,800 over a period of 12 months. The hourly wage is $20 per hour.
