Cardiology Consultants of Philadelphia, PC is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer to join our team. As a Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing transthoracic echocardiograms and stress echoes under the supervision of physicians and clinical supervisors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality echocardiograms and stress echoes, maintaining echo lab protocols and meeting accreditation standards.
- Operate ultrasound equipment effectively and prepare preliminary echo updates in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Notify physicians in a timely manner of any new significant abnormal findings.
- Maintain daily log books in Excel, documenting date, patient name, diagnosis, and test type.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of ultrasound equipment, reporting any malfunctions to the lead echo technician or Philips Service.
- Ensure open communication with other staff members through regular email checks.
Requirements:
- Registered/Certified Echo Technician certification.
- At least 3 years of experience in echocardiography.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer skills and experience with EMR systems.
