About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Lead Superintendent to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our construction operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Manage the field and project team successfully and collaboratively, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Client Relationships: Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with clients, construction managers, project teams, consultants, architects, engineers, subcontractors, adjacent communities, trade unions, and governmental agencies.
  • Project Coordination: Responsible for the project set-up, job site logistics, field coordination, and project schedule, ensuring that all necessary documents are reviewed and approved.
  • Quality Control: Maintain and update project records, including RFIs, ASIs, and as-builts, and ensure that all work is completed to the highest quality standards.
  • Safety Management: Create and enforce a site-specific emergency action plan for assigned projects, in collaboration with the Project Manager, and ensure that all safety protocols are followed.
  • Subcontractor Management: Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring that all work is completed on time and to the highest quality standards.
  • Inspections and Compliance: Coordinate with building inspections, subcontractor inspections, and agencies, ensuring that all necessary permits and approvals are obtained.
  • Job Site Management: Perform daily job site walks and submit daily safety audit reports, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed.
  • Team Management: Conduct and/or attend Foreman meetings, pre-task meetings, safety meetings, and project staff meetings, ensuring that all team members are informed and aligned.
  • Performance Management: Manage job site manpower production and performance, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma (any additional experience a plus)
  • Experience: 10+ years of commercial construction experience at a General Contractor, with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent supervising project teams.
  • Skills: Extensive experience with 100+ unit ground-up multifamily and mixed-use projects, including podium, garden walk-up, and other Type I developments, CPR and First Aid certified, proficiency with MS Project (or similar), Procore (or similar), and Microsoft Office Suite.
