Position Summary:

As a Field Service Engineer II within the Mobile Solutions Aftermarket (MSA) Field Service team, you will play a vital role in a Global Quality organization dedicated to resolving end-user challenges.

This position offers the chance to collaborate with diverse functional groups within the MSA business, working closely with manufacturing and engineering teams.

Your contributions will support a comprehensive business vertical catalog, encompassing air, fuel, lube, and hydraulic applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize mechanical aptitude to apply principles, practices, and procedures in solving customer issues.
  • Engage with team members to gather feedback and enhance understanding of Donaldson's products, vendor offerings, and customer applications.
  • Actively participate in process improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze and resolve moderately complex problems using standard procedures and innovative thinking.
  • Facilitate communication between engineering, production, product management, service centers, customers, vendors, sales channels, and customer service to address field issues.
  • Employ various computer systems, including Outlook, Oracle, Webex, MS Office Suite, and customer portals, to investigate, document, and track claims.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing complaints, inquiries about new products, and providing technical support.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, a 2-year technical degree, or a minimum of 2 years of field service experience in a related field.
  • Proven ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong communication skills in both oral and written formats.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to adapt procedures, processes, tools, equipment, and techniques to meet task requirements.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing customer conflicts and delivering resolutions that enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Proactive approach and personal ownership in work, collaborating with internal and external teams as necessary to achieve project goals.
  • Understanding of various manufacturing processes and knowledge of diesel engines and/or hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
