We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Non-Emergent Transportation Specialist to join our team at Northeast Georgia Health System, Inc. As a key member of our transportation team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of patients within our healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport ambulatory and non-ambulatory patients using wheeled chairs and stretchers, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the journey.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections of the transport vehicle to ensure it is clean, fueled, and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Operate the vehicle in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to Georgia Code and department guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, nursing staff, and Medical Transport Communications Center to ensure seamless transportation services.
  • Document all transports, including patient information, transportation details, and any notable incidents or issues.
Requirements:
  • Valid and current Class C driver's license.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Good driving record, with less than two (2) moving violations in the past three (3) years.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Healthcare experience, particularly in transportation or patient care.
  • Previous experience with medical transportation software and systems.
  • Certification in CPR, first aid, and vehicle operation.
