Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team at Duke Health Integrated Practice. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team in our Orthopaedic Clinic located in Knightdale, NC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Perform intake with patients, take vital signs, and document clinical information as indicated.
- Administrative Support: Assist providers with procedures, administer medications, and perform tasks such as high-level disinfection and sterilization.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and other healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Performance Improvement: Participate in performance improvement projects to enhance patient care and clinic operations.
Requirements:
- Education: Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is strongly preferred.
- Certification: Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA-CCMA, NCMA, or ARMA is required.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in electronic medical records.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.
