We are seeking an experienced Architect of Quantum Computing Software to join our team at Atom Computing. As a member of our team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of quantum computing.

Our team is dedicated to building cutting-edge quantum computers that empower customers to achieve groundbreaking computational advancements. You will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of our software stack that controls our quantum computer systems.

This includes leading technical roadmap planning, selecting appropriate technologies, guiding new feature development, and ensuring alignment with our long-term vision.

To succeed in this role, you must have a deep understanding of the journey a quantum circuit takes from customer-facing libraries and APIs down to the execution of commands on our quantum hardware.

We offer a competitive salary range of $200,000 - $225,000, commensurate with experience, as well as a bonus plan and incentive stock options for equity in the company.

About the Role

  • Lead and mentor a team of domain experts
  • Drive collaboration between product and engineering to set the technical direction and strategy of our software platform
  • Drive architectural decisions, plans, goals, and strategies highlighting short-term trade-offs vs. long-term commitments on our software stack
  • Identify optimizations and remove roadblocks
  • Align standards, frameworks, and security with overall business and technology strategies
