Job Summary

The Warehouse Operations Director will oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping of products. This key role requires a hands-on leader with a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Management

Ensure daily warehouse operations are running smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies. This includes receiving, storing, and shipping of products, as well as managing inventory levels and conducting regular cycle counts.

Team Leadership

Lead, train, and mentor a team of warehouse staff, fostering a culture of safety, productivity, and continuous improvement. This includes setting performance metrics for warehouse operations and staff, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), and implementing corrective actions to address any performance gaps.

Safety Compliance

Enforce safety regulations and ensure the warehouse environment adheres to OSHA and company safety standards. This includes conducting regular safety audits and training sessions.

Performance Monitoring

Set performance metrics for warehouse operations and staff, monitor KPIs, and implement corrective actions to address any performance gaps.

Customer Satisfaction

Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment. Address and resolve any operational issues that may impact customer service.

Process Improvement

Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance warehouse efficiency and productivity. Utilize lean management techniques to streamline operations.

Budget Management

Assist in the development and management of the warehouse budget. Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Experience

Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse operations management, preferably in a 3PL or logistics environment.

Education

Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.

Skills
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and warehouse safety standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Salary

The estimated salary for this role is $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
