Job Summary

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a highly skilled Vascular Sonographer to join our team in Olympia Fields, Illinois. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging Department, you will be responsible for performing a comprehensive array of sophisticated abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, and small parts procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, and small parts procedures, to provide accurate diagnostic information for physicians.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Assist physicians during procedures, such as amniocentesis, thoracentesis, biopsies, and cath lab procedures.
  • Document patient history, images, and examination results accurately and efficiently.
  • Participate in quality assurance and accreditation processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the Ultrasound and Vascular Department.
Requirements
  • Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with Abdomen issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Med Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent.
  • Vascular Technologist (RVT) registration issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or equivalent.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Associates degree in Allied Health or Bachelor of Science degree in Allied Health Science preferred.
