Job Summary

The South Kitsap School District is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lifeguard to join our team. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of all participants in our pool facilities. This is a critical role that requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor the pool area and respond to emergencies in a timely and effective manner.
  • Provide first aid and CPR as needed.
  • Enforce pool rules and regulations to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all patrons.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the pool and surrounding areas are clean and well-maintained.
Requirements
  • Lifeguard certification.
  • First aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions

The Lifeguard will work in a pool environment, which may be wet and humid at times. The ability to swim and work in a fast-paced environment is essential for this role.

Clearances
  • Washington State Patrol and FBI Fingerprint Background Clearance.
  • Valid Washington State Driver's License required.
