Responsibilities:
The Sonographer will be responsible for:
1. Producing high-quality ultrasound images and obtaining appropriate measurements for each exam.
2. Recognizing normal and abnormal tissue structures and providing the best image quality for documentation.
3. Documenting all applicable patient and procedure data consistently and correctly.
4. Explaining procedures adequately to patients to maximize patient comfort and cooperation.
5. Monitoring during all phases of procedure with special care taken to insure patient emotional and physical well-being.
6. Communicating patient information in a professional and courteous manner to patients and referring physician offices as required.
7. Maintaining the ultrasound equipment for cleanliness and ensuring proper equipment maintenance and equipment safety.
8. Calibrating and maintaining equipment and ordering supplies when needed.
