Job Overview

At Arm Limited, we are seeking a highly skilled SoC Verification Engineer to join our Systems Development team. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the specification, design, and verification of various compute subsystems.

Responsibilities

As a creative verification engineer with a strong understanding of digital hardware design and Verilog HDL, you will be responsible for:

  • Crafting test plans and developing SystemVerilog/Verilog testbenches and tests
  • Debugging test failures and issues
  • Contributing to the development and improvement of verification methodologies used by the team
  • Collaborating with other teams on design microarchitecture, verification methodologies, system performance, and more
  • Guiding and supporting junior members of the team

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering (or similar field)
  • 5-10 years of experience working in design or verification of sophisticated compute subsystems or SoCs
  • Solid understanding of digital hardware design and Verilog HDL
  • Detailed understanding and experience of current verification strategies required for sophisticated SoC development, including software-based techniques
  • Good knowledge of test plan creation and tracking
  • Low-level programming experience, including C and Assembler
  • Experience with Perl, Python, or other scripting languages

Nice to Have Skills and Experience

In addition to the requirements above, it would be beneficial to have experience with:

  • Arm-based designs and/or ARM System Architectures
  • SystemVerilog and verification methodologies – UVM/OVM/e
  • Object-Oriented programming concepts
  • Formal verification techniques, clock domain crossing verification, power aware verification, and more
