Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Neurocritical Care Physician to join our team at the Illinois Neurological Institute & OSF HealthCare. As a Neurocritical Care Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our 18-bed Neuroscience ICU, which sees approximately 1,000 stroke admissions per year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert care to critically ill patients with neurological conditions
  • Collaborate with Anesthesia, Neurosurgery, and Neurology residency programs to ensure seamless patient care
  • Work with a busy interventional neurology program and advanced neuroImaging capabilities, including 3T MRI, fMRI, PET scan, CTA/CTP with AI processing, and SPECT
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
  • Meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree in Medicine or equivalent
  • Residency in Neurology and Fellowship in Neurocritical Care
  • Board certification or board eligibility in the appropriate specialty(ies)
  • Eligibility to participate in Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs
  • Medical staff membership and privileges at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care aligned to the preferences, goals, and needs of the patients served
