Position Overview

The role involves orchestrating and overseeing the development of processes, along with the maintenance of manufacturing specifications and standards. The process engineer is tasked with identifying the necessary equipment, tooling, and procedures essential for the production of specialized copper and fiber optic cables. Effectively addressing production challenges and implementing corrective measures across all shifts is vital for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance and refine overall process-related matters.
  • Design and upkeep of tools and dies.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and compound issues.
  • Manage assigned experimental production (XP) products.
  • Create and sustain technical manufacturing instructions (T.M.'s).
  • Develop and uphold work instructions and procedures.
  • Relay critical processing information to manufacturing staff.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis studies and document findings on significant non-conformances.
  • Assist in operator training as needed.
  • Oversee the process manufacturing of designated technical orders.
  • Coordinate assigned capital appropriation (CA) projects.
  • Provide prompt and accurate responses to corrective action requests.
  • Contribute to accurate product costing as required.
  • Maintain communication with vendors to stay informed about current materials and processes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
  • Previous experience in Manufacturing Engineering or Process Engineering is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • 2-3 years of experience in an engineering capacity is preferred.
