Tool & Die Repair Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Tool & Die Repair professional to join our team at eTeam.
Job Summary: As a Tool & Die Repair specialist, you will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of dies, working closely with the production department to ensure seamless tooling operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintain dies to ensure optimal performance and extend their lifespan.
- Collaborate with the production team to identify and resolve tooling issues in a timely manner.
- Study blueprints, sketches, and specifications to plan and execute die repair and maintenance tasks.
- Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts.
- Operate various machinery, including lathes, milling machines, and bench grinders, to cut, bore, grind, and shape parts to specific dimensions.
- Perform filing, grinding, shimming, and adjusting tasks to ensure proper fit and function of parts.
- Work with large progressive, transfer, and deep draw dies, and cut, shape, and trim blanks or blocks to specified lengths or shapes using power and hand tools.
- Rework damaged components in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot problems to determine solutions and improve die performance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- A high school education or equivalent with at least three years of experience in die repair or a related technical field, preferably in a metal stamping environment.
- Ability to read, interpret, and comprehend safety, operating, and maintenance documents and procedures.
- Ability to obtain and retain Industrial Powered Lift Truck, Overhead Crane, and Lock Out/Tag Out Authorization certifications.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to ensure delivery requirements.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Meet or exceed the job requirements of the job.
- Ability to work overtime, including daily, weekends, and holidays.
