Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Windows and Linux Systems Administrator to join our team at Raytheon Technologies. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and efficient Windows and Linux systems environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide system administration in a combined Linux, Windows, and VMware environment.
  • Install and configure hardware and operating systems.
  • Achieve daily health checks, monitor, and sustain the environment.
  • Integrate COTS products.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity professionals to maintain security compliance requirements.
  • Provide ticketing resolution and documentation on moderate to advanced IT processes and procedures.
Requirements
  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or a master's degree and a minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Must have Windows and Linux experience.
  • Experience in one of the following: Active Directory, VMware, MySQL, networking administration experience.
  • Must have DoD IAT Level 2 certification or higher.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with developing solutions and documentation for a variety of server architectures.
  • A working knowledge of data backup and recovery.
  • Experience using VMware vCenter, vSphere, Horizon VDI, and ESX virtual computing methods.
  • Experience integrating COTS products.
  • Experience with data storage concepts and technologies.
